Hey Riders! I'm Lizzy Pekelny and my mission is to make RHS a place of Love, Smiles & Positivity for everyone!
I want Roosevelt to be a community where everyone feels safe, welcome and proud to be a part of!
I have so many ideas and stuff in the works already to work towards this!
Lizzy's plans for RHS next year
and I will put 110% effort into executing all of it!
STUDENT PARKING!!
Tired of getting ticketed in the staff lot?? Lizzy is actively working to create designated spots in the RHS lot for STUDENTS!! She has talked to Ms. Bailey about this in the past and has a plan of action ready to go!
Homerooms + HR Reps
I plan on implementing homerooms as well as having homeroom reps! This is something I've been talking to Ms. Bailey about and am excited to have elected HR reps who will come to ASR class once a month and report back to their class!
Bathroom Maintenance
Tired of the bathrooms constantly being out of soap? broken locks? etc. I will work to keep the bathroom well maintained so that they can always remain unlocked for students to use!
RHS walk/run 5k
Lizzy wants to host an RHS 5k in which students can fundraiser for charity or a club/RHS program! Lizzy believes this will be a fun new way to bring our community together and give back!
Welcome Back Pep Rally
I will work to bring back the Welcome Back Pep Rally! This is something we haven't had since my Freshmen Year, and I believe it will be the perfect way to kick off the school year with positivity & smiles!
Student Spirit
I want to work to increase school spirit participation so that everyone feels proud to dress up and represent our school's community. I will bring back spirit points in a more consistent reliable way + create more spirit events
Bite of RHS
Bite of RHS is an opportunity for clubs and other RHS programs to fundraise by bringing homemade food to a fair like event in the commons!
Bridge Student-Staff Gap
I plan to work towards bridging the gap between students, staff and admin to make the RHS community even closer. I hope to establish lots of reliable communication between everyone in RHS!
Class Comp + more!
I want to introduce new evens to RHS including Class Comp! This event will consist of school wide games like tug of war, capture the flag, water ballon fight & more on the RHS field to foster a closer more bonded community!
More Third Spaces
I want to create more designated areas for students to be able to hangout, study, eat lunch, etc. These areas will help foster community and create more spaces for students to feel welcome!
Communication - ASR CLUB
I want to create more opportunities for all students to be a part of what ASR does! I will re-establish ASR club: a opportunity for students to come in every week and help be a part of the planning process of ASR events!
Future Success
I want to leave a long-lasting impact on the future of RHS! I plan on working to establish long lasting traditions that will better the RHS community for many years and set ASR up for future success!
